"Every man of you shall revere his mother and his father and My Sabbaths you shall observe - am Hashem, your God". (Leviticus 19:3). Notice that the two commands to honour parents and keep Shabbat are juxtaposed for if parents tells a child to do something which would desecrate Shabbat, then the child should not listen.
