Many non-Jews may recognize Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, because it falls around Christmas each year. What they may not know is that, according to tradition, Hanukkah is lesser holiday. The most sacred Jewish holidays are Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur in September.
