Les Cockrell: Area students place in annual oratorical competition
Four area high school students competed Jan. 15 in the District 13 round of the 74th annual American Legion High School Oratorical Competition, held at American Legion Post 71 in Denton. The winner of the contest was John T. Brown of Graham High School, according to an announcement from Lee Keith, District 13 oratorical chairman.
