Hi: am aShomer shabat seperated father of five Children. love my wife and children. am selfemployed and very high degree of engineering from a university from Scandinavia. Move to US in 1985 and married my wife that just moved to this country. Sh ewas more religion that me when we got married. Soon learened all the judaism by myself and after our second children we became shomershabbat. We moved from new york to los angeles wher changed the direction of my business to work with a big disigner from new york that passed away 2 months ago. it did not work. our financial situation became bad my wife after the birth of our 3rd child became very strange she did not love me any more and start to curse and hate me. became more orthodox and she as well. put the children in yeshiva and changed to a more orthodox yeshiva. suddenly she changed. was not interesting in religion made the children not to come to shabbat table. she was angry and depressed. did not know what to do. asked help from every one. one day she took the children and ranaway. was the victum and the batterer. no one listened to me thae rabbis that used to daven with them and do fund raising disapeared and left me alone. so friend they try to fix did not get better. am practice the religion personaly because am shamed. can not see children and my wife said yesterday she want to divorce. this is the first time she told me panic badly and don't know what to do. am very worried of their wellfare but the cut me out from the picture. My wife is under SSI and badly depreesed and she dosent get enough help and can not force her to go for help. this is the meaning of Democracy. The people with mental disorder have to HAVE themself taken for help you can not help them because here is FREE COUNTRY. JFS of LA try to cover my wife depression this causes the children a lots of presuure to live in a house with no help with mother that is angry her mood changes frequently and she is depressed most the times. . The children are very angry and confused but put the decession on Hashem hand.

You actually can gain custody of your kids if you go through the beis dins. If you can prove that your wife' mental disorder is harming the children.

The rabbis that ignore you are chillul to hashem. You have to look for the right rabbi. Just because you see someone with payos and a beard and calls themself a rabbi doesnt mean they are a good rabbi.

am sorry your wife seems to be under mental disorder. How ironic that she gets this mental disorder when you are having financial difficulties.

Either way, am fond believer that children in cases of divorce have to be where it is most safe.

You have two ways of doing things. You can go through the jewish court, or the american court.
